SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high pressure is weakening, while a shallow low over the Ionian Sea is filling up, and a new cold front is approaching from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 6-12, toward the open sea of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic 10-20 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 15-25 km. Mostly clear with some variable cloudiness.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong, in the extreme south up to near gale force NE winds, easing in the North Adriatic in the second part of the night and turning along the west Istrian coast and south of Porer to moderate SE. Sea smooth or slight, toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to moderate. Mostly clear.
