IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF S and SW WINDS 35-40 KNOTS, EASING IN THE EVENING. IN THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS EXPECTED TO REACH 35-45 KNOTS. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.
SYNOPSIS
The low with frontal system is shifting across the Adriatic northeastwards.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
THE NORTH ADRIATIC: NE and NW winds 4-14 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, mainly at first. THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC: SW and NW winds 10-20, most of the day in the southern part S and SW winds up to 24, easing during the day, most lately in the evening in the extreme south, to 6-16 knots. Sea 3-4, calming to 2-3, except in the extreme south. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy, still with scattered rain and a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.

In the North Adriatic moderate NE winds will strengthen. In the rest of the Adriatic mainly moderate SW and NW winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the extreme south up to moderate. Variably cloudy with scattered rain and showers.
