IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC GUSTS OF SE, TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY OF NE and NW WINDS 35-55 KNOTS. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. SEA UP TO 5 TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT.SYNOPSIS
The low with frontal system is slowly shifting across the South Adriatic further southeastwards, while a ridge of high pressure will gradually intensify from the north.WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
In the North, then in the Central Adriatic as well, NE winds strengthening to 14-28, in the Velebit Channel up to 34, in the afternoon to 18-36, in the Velebit Channel up to 44 knots. In the South Adriatic SE winds strengthening to 14-28 knots. Sea increasing to 3-4, toward the end of the day and during the night to 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic. In the South Adriatic moderate to strong SE winds, turning gradually to strong, in places up to near gale force NE, toward the open sea to NW. Sea moderate, locally up to rough. Variably cloudy, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic with scattered rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder. In the Velebit Channel a risk of wind drifted snow.
