SYNOPSIS

The low over the Tyrhhenian Sea will be shifting toward the Ionian Sea, while a ridge of high pressure will intensify from the northeast.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE, elsewhere E and SE winds, strengthening to 14-24, in places up to 28, and NE in the Velebit Channel up to 34 knots. In the afternoon NE winds will gradually spread more to the south and strengthen toward the end of the day to 16-32, in the Velebit Channel up to 38 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing to 3-4, in the afternoon and toward the end of the day to 4-5, mainly toward the open. Visibility 10-20 km. Overcast with rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers with thunder, in places sleet or a little snow, mainly along the coast. In the northern part of the Adriatic toward the end of the day and during the night end of precipitation and partial clearing.
