IN THE OPEN OF THE NORTH ADRIATIC, LATE IN THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC SEA POSSIBLY UP TO 5. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC.

The field of low pressure lies over the central Mediterranean and the Adriatic.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
In the North and in the greater part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 14-26, in the Velebit Channel up to 32, easing gradually from midday to 10-20, in the Velebit Channel to 12-24 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic SE and SW winds 12-24, in the extreme south up to 28 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open of the North Adriatic in the morning and in the extreme south of the Adriatic late in the day possibly up to 5, calming gradually in the North and Central Adriatic toward the end of the day and during the night to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder in the Central and South Adriatic.

In the North and in the greater part of the Central Adriatic moderate to fresh, in the Velebit Channel at first still up to strong NE winds, easing in the second part of the night to light to moderate and turning toward the open to NW. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong SE and SW winds, easing from the middle of the night to light to fresh and turning gradaully toward the open to NW. Sea smooth or slight, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic slight and moderate, in the extreme south possibly up to rough today. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the Central and South Adriatic, and with sleet and snow in the Velebit Channel.
