LOCAL GUSTS OF NE, IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT OF SE WINDS, STRENGTHENING TO 35-55, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 65 KNOTS. A RISK OF THUNDERSTORMS, PARTICULARLY IN THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC. SEA LOCALLY UP TO 5, MAINLY TOWARD THE OPEN TOMORROW.

SYNOPSIS

The low is deepening over the western Mediterranean and it will be shifting across the Tyrrhenian Sea toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds strengthening to 12-28, in the Velebit Channel up to 36 kntos, mainly from the middle of the night. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic SE and E winds gradually strengthening to 12-22, in places during the night up to 28 knots. Sea 2-3, in the Velebit Channel, during the night elsewhwere as well, 3-4, possibly up to 5, mainly toward the open from the middle of the night. Visibility 10-20 km. Overcast with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, in the Velebit Channel with snow.

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to near gale force, in the Velebit Channel up to gale force NE winds. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong SE and E winds, strengthening in the morning to strong and near gale force. Sea slight and moderate, in places possibly up to rough, mainly toward the open. Overcast with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, in the Velebit Channel with snow.
