FROM MIDDAY LOCAL GUSTS OF SE and S WINDS STRENGTHENING TO 35-45, IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC IN THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT UP TO 50 KNOTS. A RISK OF THUNDERSTORMS FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, FIRSTLY IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC.
SYNOPSIS
The trough with frontal disturbance is approaching from the northwest and a low is expected to generate over the Ligurian Sea.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
SE and S winds gradually strengthening to 12-24, in places in the evening up to 28 knots. Sea 2-3, locally in the evening up to 4. Visibility 20 km. Partly clear, but cloud increase and scattered rain expected in the afternoon, firstly in the North Adriatic.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS
Moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force SE and S winds, easing in the North Adriatic in the second part of the night, and turning firstly in the extreme north to NW. Sea slight and moderate. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain, from the middle of the night with isolated rain showers and thunder.
