SYNOPSIS

The low over the central Mediterranean is still deepening and it will slowly shift toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

S and SE winds 18-38, easing north and west of Istria in the afternoon and turning to SW and NW 8-18 knots. Sea 4-5, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic 5-6, calming in the extreme north of the Adriatic toward the end of the day to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy and warm with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the northern part toward the end of the day.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Strong and gale force S and SE winds easing in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic and turning to moderate, mainly SW and NW. Sea moderate and rough, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to very rough, but calming gradually in the North Adriatic. Overcast with rain and isolated rain showers with thunder.
