SYNOPSIS

The shallow low is shifting from the Ionian Sea southeastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the northwest toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 15-25, in the Velebit Channel 25-35 knots. Sea 2-3, in the Velebit Channel and toward the open 3-4. Visibility 15-25 km. In the North Adriatic fine or fair, elsewhere variably cloudy, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic with scattered rain or brief isolated rain showers and thunder.
