IN THE NORTH, DURING THE NIGHT IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC AS WELL, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS EXPECTED TO STRENGTHEN TO 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 60 KNOTS.

The trough with frontal system is approaching and slowly shifting eastwards, but with its major part north of the Adriatic.

NW winds 4-14, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 18, turning in the North Adriatic to NE and strengthening to 12-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 30 knots. Sea increasing to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.

Moderate to strong NE winds, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force, spreading during the night to a part of the Central Adriatic. Sea smooth or slight, in the North Adriatic toward the open and in the Velebit Channel up to moderate. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic heavier cloud increase, bringing rain, showers and thunder in places.
