IN THE NORTH, THEN IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC, GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-50, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 60, DURING THE NIGHT IN THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC UP TO 35 KNOTS. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC, PARTICULARLY IN THE EXTREME NORTH.
Synopsis
The frontal system is shifting with its major part north of the Adriatic and the ridge of high pressure will gradually intensify from the northwest.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
Calm or variable winds 4-10, in the afternoon NW up to 14 knots. In the North Adriatic in the morning and in a part of the Central later on, NE winds strengthening to 14-26, in the Velebit Channel up to 32 knots. Sea 1-2, increasing to 2-3, in the northern part toward the end of the day to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the North Adriatic becoming variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the extreme north.

Moderate to strong NE winds, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force. In the rest of the Adriatic light to moderate NW turning gradually along the coast to moderate, in places up to fresh NE winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the northern part up to moderate. Mostly clear, only in the North Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the extreme north.
