IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL THIS MORNING AND AGAIN DURING THE NIGHT LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS. A LITTLE RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY ALONG THE COAST AROUND MIDDAY AND IN THE AFTERNOON.

The field of high pressure lies over the Adriatic.

In the North Adriatic NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel up to 22, easing briefly around midday and turning toward the open sea to NW. In the Central and South Adriatic NW winds 8-18, easing in the evening and turning along the coast to NE 4-14 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Fine or fair and hot, but along the coast around midday and in the afternoon possibly more clouds and isolated rain showers with thunder.

Light to moderate NW, along the coast NE winds, only in the Velebit Channel up to strong. Sea smooth, in the Velebit Channel up to slight. Mostly clear.
