Synopsis
The trough with frontal system is shifting across the Adriatic, while the ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the northwest.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 14-28, in the Velebit Channel up to 38, spreading gradually more to the south of the Adriatic, where SE and E winds will still reach 6-16 knots at first. Sea 2-3, in the northern part 3-4, possibly up to 5. Visibility 10-20 km. Overcast and cooler with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, but clearing is expected in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic around midday and in the afternoon.

Moderate to strong, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to near gale force, and in the Velebit Channel up to gale force, NE winds. Sea slight, locally up to moderate, in the North Adriatic possibly up to rough. Gradual clearing in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic, where scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder are still expected at first.
