IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AND IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS, EASING THIS MORNING.

The ridge of high pressure is extending from the European land toward the Adriatic, while the Mediterranean low is extending a trough toward the South Adriatic.

NE winds 6-14, in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to 24 knots, easing this morning. Along the coast in the afternoon mainly NE and E winds 4-14, turning in the open sea to SE and E and strengthening to 6-16 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 20 km. Clear skies at first, but partial cloud increase is expected through the day.

In the greater part of the Adriatic mainly moderate SE and E winds, in places of the North Adriatic light to moderate NE. Sea smooth or slight, in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to moderate. Variably and mainly cloudy, in the South, then in the Central Adriatic as well, rain in places.
