A very deep field of low pressure over the Adriatic is slowly filling up.

NW winds 8-18, in places up to 24, toward the open up to 28, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 36 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic 4-5, in the extreme south possibly up to 6. Visibility 20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly toward the open of the South and Central Adriatic.

Moderate to strong NW, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic up to near gale force, in places up to gale force, easing toward midday. Sea slight and moderate, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to rough, in the extreme south possibly up to very rough, calming along the coast during the forenoon. Gradual clearing, firstly in the northern part and along the coast, while in the open sea and in the South Adriatic still a risk of rain, showers and thunder.
