Synopsis
The field of high pressure over the Adriatic is weakening, while a shallow trough with weakened cold front is expected to approach from the northwest.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
Mainly NW winds 5-15, west of Istria, during the night elsewhere along the coast as well, NE and NW winds up to 12 knots. West of Istria sea 1-2, elsewhere 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places around 5 km due to mist and in the extreme north of the Adriatic during the night possibly less than 1 km due to fog. Mostly clear, but in the North, during the night in the Central Adriatic as well, moderate cloud increase.
Weather forecast for the next 12 hours
Light to moderate NE and NW, in the open of the Central and South Adriatic NW winds up to fresh till midday. Sea smooth or slight. Mist in places, in the extreme north of the Adriatic a chance of fog. Mainly fair with a risk of a little rain only in places.
