Synopsis
The ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northeast, while a trough with frontal disturbance is expected to approach from the northwest.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NW winds 10-20, in places along the coast this morning still NE 5-15, in the Velebit Channel up to 20 knots. Winds will ease and die away gradually. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic at first up to 4. Visibility 10-20 km, but there will be a little chance for less than 1 km due to fog, mainly in the extreme north of the Adriatic this morning. Fair in places. Heavier cloud increase expected during the night.

Fair in places and a very little chance of fog patches. In the North Adriatic heavier cloud increase, bringing rain in the open sea tomorrow. Mainly calm. In the North Adriatic light to moderate SE winds. Sea smooth, locally in the North Adriatic up to slight tomorrow.
