A CHANCE OF FOG PATCHES DURING THE NIGHT AND IN THE MORNING. IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC LATE IN THE DAY AND IN THE CENTRAL LATER ON, GUSTS OF NE, IN THE OPEN SEA OF NW WINDS, STRENGTHENING TO 35-50, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 65 KNOTS. A RISK OF THUNDERSTORMS.

The shallow low will be shifting from the Ligurian Sea toward the Adriatic.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
SE and E, in the extreme north of the Adriatic NE winds, strengthening to 8-18, late in the day in the North Adriatic NE and in the open sea NW winds strengthening to 14-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 28 knots. Sea increasing to 2-3, in the northern part late in the day to 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 4 km due to mist, during the night and in the morning possibly to less than 1 km due to fog. Cloud increase, bringing rain in places and a chance of isolated rain showers with thunder, particularly late in the day.

Moderate, in places up to fresh SE and E, in the North, then gradually in the Central Adriatic, moderate to strong NE and NW winds, in the Velebit Channel up to gale force. Sea increasing to slight and moderate. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder.
