The field of high pressure lies over the Adriatic, while the weakened frontal system is shifting north of the Adriatic.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NW winds 6-16, toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic strengthening to 20 knots and turning around the middle of the night, firstly along the coast, to NE. Sea 2-3, locally in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic toward the end of the day up to 4. Visibility 10-20, in the open of the northern part of the Adriatic possibly less than 1 km due fog, mainly through the night. Variably cloudy, but clearing is expected in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic late in the day and during the night.
Weather forecast for the next 12 hours
Moderate, in places up to fresh, in the Velebit Channel strong to near gale force NE winds. Sea smooth or slight, toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic and in the Velebit Channel up to moderate. Still a chance of fog patches in the open of the North and of a part of the Central Adriatic during the night and tomorrow morning. Gradual clearing in the southern part of the Adriatic as well.
