IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC TODAY STILL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, AND IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AT FIRST UP TO 55 KNOTS. A CHANCE OF FOG PATCHES DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING, MAINLY IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC.

The ridge of high pressure over the Adriatic is weakening gradually.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NE winds 6-16, in the extreme south of the Adriatic today still 12-22, and in the Velebit Channel at first up to 30 knots, easing gradually. During the night mainly calm, only in the extreme south of the Adriatic in the first part of the night still NE winds up to 18 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North Adriatic and in the extreme south 3-4, calming to 1-2, in the extreme south to 2-3. Visibility 20 km, in places around 4 km due to mist, during the night possibly less than 1 km due to fog, mainly in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic. Mostly clear.

During the night mainly calm or light, in the extreme south of the Adriatic at first still up to moderate NE winds. In the morning light to moderate SE, along the coast E winds as well. Sea calm or smooth, in the extreme south of the Adriatic, from midday elsewhere as well, up to slight. Mostly clear with mist in places and with a chance of fog patches, mainly in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic.
