Synopsis
The field of high pressure over the Adriatic is weakening, while a trough with frontal system is expected to approach from the northwest.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NW winds 4-16, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 22, easing to 4-8, in the open sea of the South Adriatic to 14 knots. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic S and SW winds strengthening to 10-20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 4 at first. Visibility 10-20, in places possibly less than 1 km due to fog, mainly in the North Adriatic. Mostly clear, but in the South Adriatic at first still scattered rain, showers and thunder, mainly in the extreme south, then during the night in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic a new cloud increase, bringing rain in places.

Cloud increase with rain, firstly in the North, then in places of the rest of the Adriatic. S and SW, in places along the coast SE winds, strengthening to moderate to fresh, in the North Adriatic to strong and near gale force. Sea smooth or slight, locally in the North Adriatic up to moderate.
