The ridge of high pressure from the northwest is intensifying gradually over the Adriatic.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NW winds 8-18, in the open sea up to 24, and in places along the coast this morning still NE 6-16, briefly up to 20 knots. In the North Adriatic NW winds easing gradually toward the end of the day to 4-14 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open possibly 3-4 today. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 4 km due to mist, and possibly to less than 1 km due to fog, here and there, mainly this morning and during the night. Mostly clear, but in places along the coast of the South Adriatic still variably cloudy with a little risk of scattered rain during the day.
Weather forecast for the next 12 hours
Light, in places up to moderate NW, along the coast from the middle of the night NE winds as well. In the open sea of the South, at first of the Central Adriatic as well, moderate to strong NW winds, easing gradually to light to moderate. Sea slight, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic locally up to moderate, calming gradually to smooth, firstly in the northern part of the Adriatic. Mostly clear with mist and a risk of fog here and there.
