Synopsis
The ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the northwest, while the trough with frontal system is shifting across the Adriatic further eastwards.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NE and NW winds strengthening to 14-24, in places up to 28, and in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the afternoon still SE and SW winds 14-24 knots. Sea 3-4, west of Istria 2-3. Visibility in the northern part above 20 and in the southern 10-20 km, but improving gradually. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic mostly clear, more to the south still cloudy with rain and isolated rain showers with thunder, but gradual clearing is expected there as well, most lately in the extreme south of the Adriatic.
