Synopsis
The ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic from the west, while the low still lies over the South Adriatic.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NE winds 14-30, in the Velebit Channel up to 36, easing to 4-12, in the Central Adriatic to 20, in the South to 24 knots, and turning in the open sea to NW. In the extreme south of the Adriatic SE and SW winds 10-20 knots. Sea 3-4, calming in the North and Central Adriatic to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic still mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder.

Mostly clear, but cloud increase is expected in the North Adriatic tomorrow. In the South Adriatic at first mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Light, only in places up to moderate NE, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic moderate to fresh NW, and in the extreme south of the Adriatic at first moderate to strong SE winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the South Adriatic up to moderate.
