IN THE NORTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC SEA UP TO 5, MAINLY IN THE OPEN. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC.

The ridge of high pressure is intensifying toward the Adriatic from the north with inflow of very cold air in high levels.

In the North and Central Adriatic NE and N winds 18-32, in the Velebit Channel up to 42, easing in the southern part of the Central Adriatic in the afternoon to 12-22, in the South Adriatic NE and NW winds 12-24, easing around midday to 8-16 knots and turning along the coast to SE and E. Sea 3-4, locally in the North and Central Adriatic up to 5, mainly in the open, and calming in the South Adriatic in the second part of the day to 3. Visibility 10-20 km. Fair or mainly cloudy with light scattered rain, along the coast with light snow, and in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.

In the North and Central Adriatic moderate to near gale force, in the Velebit Channel up to gale force NE, in the South Adriatic moderate SE and E winds, turning during the night to moderate to fresh NE and E. Sea slight and moderate, in the open of the North Adriatic up to rough. Fair or mainly cloudy with light scattered rain, along the coast with light snow, and in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.
