LOCAL GUSTS OF NE and E, IN THE OPEN SEA OF THE SOUTH ADRIATIC OF SE WINDS, 35-50, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL OF NE UP TO 65 KNOTS, EASING IN THE AFTERNOON, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL IN THE EVENING. SEA LOCALLY IN THE OPEN UP TO 5, CALMING DURING THE FORENOON.

The ridge of high pressure is extending from the north toward the Adriatic, while the low centred over the Tyrrhenian Sea is extending a trough toward the Central and South Adriatic.

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 14-26, in the Velebit Channel up to 36, easing gradually during the day to 4-12, in the Velebit Channel to 16 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE and E winds 15-25, in the open sea SE up to 30, easing gradually during the day to 6-14 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open 4-5, calming gradually during the day to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain in the Central and South Adriatic, and with isolated rain showers in the open sea. Partial clearing is expected in the North Adriatic in the afternoon.

Light NE and E winds, in the Velebit Channel up to moderate. Sea smooth, in the open slight. Fine or fair with more clouds and a risk of rain and showers in places of the South Adriatic.
