A CHANCE OF FOG PATCHES IN THE MORNING AND DURING THE NIGHT. IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT GUSTS OF NE WINDS STRENGTHENING TO 35-55 KNOTS. A CHANCE OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE OPEN SEA IN THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT.
Synopsis
The low over the Tyrrhenian Sea is expected to deepen and the ridge of high pressure to intensify from the north and the weakened frontal system to shift across the Adriatic.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
Calm or variable winds, toward the open sea SE 4-14 knots. Sea 1-2, increasing in the open toward the end of the day to 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places with mist reduced to around 4 km, and possibly to less than 1 km due to fog in the morning. Fine or fair.
Weather forecast for the next 12 hours
Mainly light to moderate SE, in the North Adriatic from the middle of the night NE winds strengthening rapidly to moderate to near gale force. Sea smooth or slight, in the northern part of the Adriatic up to moderate. Cloud increase with rain and with a chance of isolated rain showers with thunder in the open sea.
