A cold front is shifting across the Adriatic southeastwards while a ridge of high is intensifying from the northwest.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NE, towards the open sea NW winds 5-15, locally up to 20, still initially in the Velebit Channel up to 26 knots, in the afternoon temporarily diminishing a little and in the evening intensifying again. Still initially in the far south SE wind 8-18 knots. Sea 2-3, still initially possibly 4 at the foot of Velebit. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy, only in some places with rain or showers with thunder while clearing up in the North, late in the day also Central Adriatic.
Weather forecast for the next 12 hours
Moderate to reinforced NE wind, midday diminishing and turning to NW wind. Sea smooth to slight. In the course of the night in the South, towards midday along the coast of the North Adriatic variable cloudiness with a chance of rain or showers with thunder in places.
