STILL A CHANCE OF LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC AT FIRST AND OF NW WINDS IN THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC IN THE AFTERNOON, REACHING 35-40 KNOTS. A CHANCE OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE NORTH AND SOUTH ADRIATIC FROM MIDDAY.

The ridge of high pressure is extending toward the Adriatic from the north and it is further weakening, while moist and unstable air is circulating in high levels.

NE and N winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 20, turning around midday to NW 6-16, in the Central and South Adriatic 10-20, only in places up to 24 knots. West and north of Istria S and SW winds 4-12 knots, dying down toward the end of the day. Sea 2-3, in the South and Central Adriatic in the afternoon possibly 3-4, west and north of Istria 1-2. Mostly clear, but in places from midday becoming variably cloudy with a chance of a little rain or a few spotty showers with thunder, mainly in the North and South Adriatic.

Light to moderate, in the Central and South Adriatic up to fresh, in places at first still up to strong NW winds, gradually easing and turning to mainly light, only in places up to moderate, NE winds, firstly along the coast. West and north of Istria light S and SW winds will die down. Sea slight, in the South and Central Adriatic today possibly up to moderate, calming west and north of Istria, during the night elsewhere in the North, then in the Central Adriatic, to mainly smooth. Mostly clear, but in places at first still variably cloudy with a chance of a little rain or a few spotty showers with thunder, mainly in the North Adriatic.
