SEA POSSIBLY UP TO 5 IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT. A CHANCE OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE COAST OF THE SOUTH ADRIATIC IN THE AFTERNOON, IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT.

The trough over the Ionian Sea is shifting eastwards, while the cold front is approaching the Adriatic from the northwest.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
Mainly NW winds 6-16, in the far north of the Adriatic late in the day NE, rapidly strengthening to 15-35 knots. Sea 2-3, late in the day 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the South Adriatic in the afternoon and in the far north of the Adriatic late in the day, becoming variably cloudy with a chance of scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder.

In the North and Central Adriatic during the night and in the South tomorrow morning, NE winds rapidly strengthening to strong and gale force, easing tomorrow around midday. Sea increasing to slight and moderate, in the North Adriatic during the night possibly up to rough. Variably cloudy with scattered rain and with a chance of isolated rain showers and thunder in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic, but clearing is expected during the forenoon.
