A deep trough with a frontal system is slowly approaching the Adriatic from the northwest.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
SE, in the open SW and NW winds 4-14 knots decreasing further on. In the afternoon in the North, then also in a part of the Central Adriatic SE increasing to 5-15, in the North Adriatic up to 20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North and Central Adriatic calming to 1-2, in the afternoon again 2-3 in the north of the Adriatic. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with a lower risk of scattered rain, rain showers and thunder whereas partial clearing up from midday.

New cloud increase. Scattered rain, rain showers and thunder in the North Adriatic, from the middle of the night possible also elsewhere. SE increasing to moderate to strong, locally in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic of near gale force. Sea intensifying to slight and moderate.
