IN THE NORTH, IN THE AFTERNOON IN THE CENTRAL AND THEN IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE ADRIATIC, GUSTS OF NE and NW WINDS 35-55, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 60 KNOTS. IN THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN PART OF THE ADRIATIC DURING THE FORENOON STILL A CHANCE OF GUSTS OF S and SW WINDS 35-40 KNOTS. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. SEA POSSIBLY UP TO 5 LOCALLY IN THE OPEN FROM MIDDAY.

The trough is shifting from the west, accompanied by front passage in low levels and by development of a cyclone over the Adriatic. The high pressure ridge is expected to strengthen gradually in the evening.

In the North Adriatic S and SW winds 10-20, turning to NW and NE 12-24, mainly in the Velebit Channel briefly up to 32 knots. Elsewhere S and SW winds strengthening gradually to 10-20, during the forenoon up to 24 knots. In the Central Adriatic wind turning in the afternoon to NW and NE 12-24, briefly up to 28 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing to 3-4, firstly in the northern part, locally in the open possibly up to 5 from midday. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with rain, showers and thunder, while more abundant precipitation is possible particularly in the northern part. Partial clearing is expected in the North Adriatic late in the afternoon.

Fresh to strong NE and NW winds, easing in the North Adriatic in the evening. Sea in the northern part slight, elsewhere mainly moderate. In the North Adriatic mostly clear, elsewhere cloudy with rain, showers and thunder. Cessation of precipitation and partial clearing expected tomorrow through the night.
