Synopsis
The low with frontal system is shifting across the Adriatic southeastwards, while the ridge of high pressure is expected to strengthen from the west late in the day.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
S and SW winds 12-24, in places up to 28, turning in the North, gradually in the rest of the Adriatic, to NE and NW 14-28 knots. Sea increasing to 3-4, in the open possibly to 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Cessation of precipitation and partial clearing expected in the North Adriatic late in the day.
Weather forecast for the next 12 hours
Moderate to strong NE and NW winds, locally in the open sea up to near gale force, easing gradually in the northern part. Sea slight, in the South and Central Adriatic up to moderate, in the open sea possibly up to rough. In the North Adriatic mostly clear, while gradual cessation of precipitation and partial clearing expected in the rest of the Adriatic.
