In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic, late in the day also southward local gusts of NE wind 35-50, in the Velebit Channel up to 60 knots. Still in the afternoon fog in places in the open sea of the North Adriatic.

A ridge of high is intensifying from the northwest, a weakened frontal system is shifting northward the Adriatic whereas humid air is circulating across the Central Mediterranean.

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE wind 12-24, locally up to 28, in the Velebit Channel up to 32 knots, gradually spreading also southward where there are variable winds 4-12 along the coast and NW wind 10-20 knots in the open sea. Sea 2-3, in the open and in the Velebit Channel intensifying to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km, locally reduced to 4 km due to mist and in the open of northern part reduced to less than 1 km due to fog. Variably cloudy with a chance of slight rain or isolated rain showers.

Moderate to near gale force NE wind, towards midday decreasing and towards the open sea turning to NW wind. Sea slight and moderate. Still a chance of mist in the open sea of the North Adriatic, mostly along the Italian coast. Gradual clearing up whereas still at night variable cloudiness and a chance of slight rain or isolated rain showers.
