Synopsis
The ridge of high pressure is extending from the north toward the Adriatic, while the low over the Tyrrhenian Sea is slowly shifting southwards.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NE winds 16-32, in the Velebit Channel up to 42 knots, easing a little in the afternoon. Sea 3-4, in the open 4-5. Visibility 20 km. In the North and in the greater part of the Central Adriatic clear skies, while in the southern part of the Adriatic still variably cloudy with a chance of a little rain, mainly in the open sea.
Weather forecast for the next 12 hours
Strong and gale force NE winds gradually easing in the second part of the night, only in places still up to fresh, in the Velebit Channel and in the South Adriatic up to strong. Sea calming from the middle of the night to smooth and slight. Gradual clearing even along the coast of the South Adriatic, but still with a chance of rain in the open sea. Air temperatures will drop a little more.
