Synopsis
The ridge of high pressure is extending from the north toward the Adriatic, while the low over the Tyrrhenian Sea is slowly shifting southwards.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NE winds 16-32, in places up to 42 knots, mainly in the Velebit Channel, gradually easing only a little. Sea 3-4, in the open 4-5. Visibility 20 km. In the North and in the greater part of the Central Adriatic clear, elsewhere still variably cloudy with a chance of a little rain, mainly in the open sea of the southern part of the Adriatic.
Weather forecast for the next 12 hours
Strong and near gale force, in places at first still up to gale force, NE winds, gradually easing to moderate to strong, toward midday to light to moderate. Sea slight and moderate, locally at first still up to rough, gradually calming to smooth and slight. Mostly clear, in the South Adriatic clearing up, firstly along the coast. Air temperatures will drop a little.
