The field of high pressure lies over the Adriatic, while the low is shifting from northern Africa toward the Ionian Sea.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
SE and E winds 4-14, in the far south of the Adriatic up to 18 knots, easing through the night, and turning in the open sea to NW. Sea 1-2, in the far south of the Adriatic increasing to 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places around 4 km due to mist, or even to less than 1 km due to fog, particularly toward the Italian coast of the North Adriatic. Variably cloudy with a chance of light scattered rain, in the far south of the Adriatic of isolated rain showers with thunder toward the end of the day.

Calm or light variable winds, in the open sea NW, and in the far south of the Adriatic at first still up to moderate SE winds. Sea calm or smooth, toward the Strait of Otranto up to moderate. Mist in places and a risk of fog patches, mainly in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic. Variably cloudy with a chance of light scattered rain, in the far south of the Adriatic of isolated rain showers and thunder as well.
