IN THE FAR SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC AT FIRST STILL GUSTS OF S and SW WINDS 35-45 KNOTS. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

The ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northwest, while the low with frontal system will be shifting from the southern part of the Tyrrhenian Sea eastwards.

NE, toward the open sea NW winds 6-16, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE strengthening to 12-22, in the Velebit Channel up to 28, and in the open sea NW up to 24 knots. In the South Adriatic at first still E and SE winds 8-18, in the far south till midday S and SW 15-30 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open and in the South Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in the far north at first locally reduced to around 2 km due to mist. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain and with a chance of isolated rain showers with thunder, particularly in the South Adriatic.

Moderate to fresh, in the North Adriatic strong, and in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force NE winds. Sea slight and moderate. Variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, while partial clearing up is expected firstly in the northern part of the Adriatic.
