IN THE AFTERNOON AND IN THE EVENING LOCAL GUSTS OF NE, IN THE OPEN SEA OF THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC OF NW WINDS, 35-40 KNOTS. A CHANCE OF FOG PATCHES IN THE FAR NORTH OF THE ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC TILL THE END OF THE DAY.

The weakened frontal disturbance will rapidly shift further eastwards, while the deep trough with cold front is already approaching from the north.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NW winds 4-14, in the open sea up to 18, from midday, firstly in the North Adriatic NE, in the open sea NW winds, strengthening to 10-20, locally up to 26 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Partly clear, while in places variably cloudy with a chance of a little rain or isolated rain showers with thunder in the South Adriatic in the afternoon.

Moderate to strong NE and NW winds will slowly ease, firstly in the North Adriatic. Sea smooth or slight, in the open up to moderate. A chance of fog patches toward the Italian coast of the North Adriatic. In the South Adriatic in the first part of the night a chance of scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder, while in the northern part of the Adriatic a new cloud increase is expected in the second part of the night.
