A trough with a cold front is approaching the Adriatic from the north.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
SW and NW winds, locally along the coast E and SE winds 10-20 knots, from the midday NE increasing to 14-28 knots. Sea 2-3, towards the open 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy whereas mostly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic there is a risk of light rain or snow in places and a low risk of thunder.

Strong NE wind, locally also of near gale force and in the Velebit Channel temporarily also of gale force. Sea slight and moderate. Variably cloudy whereas still initially light rain or snow locally in southern part and then partial clearing up along the coast.
