The ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic from the west, while the low is shifting from the Ionian Sea eastwards.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NE winds 8-18, in places at first up to 28, easing during the forenoon, firstly in the northern part and turning toward the open sea to NW winds 8-18, in the Central and South Adriatic up to 24 knots. Sea in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic calming to 2-3, elsewhere to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with a chance of rain and showers with thunder, in places of the South Adriatic of light snow.

Moderate, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to strong NW winds, easing firstly in the northern part of the Adriatic, while in places along the coast still light to moderate NE. Sea gradually calming to smooth and slight. Variably cloudy with a chance of rain and showers with thunder, mainly in the open sea of the South and Central Adriatic.
