The ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic from the west, while the low is shifting from the Ionian Sea eastwards.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NE winds turning to NW 8-18, toward the open sea of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to 24, turning again along the coast late in the day to NE 6-16, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 20 knots and slowly easing. Sea 2-3, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. In places variably cloudy with a little chance of rain or showers with thunder, mainly in the open sea.

Light to moderate NE, toward the open sea moderate and fresh NW winds, gradually easing and turning in the northern part of the Adriatic toward midday to light SW winds. Sea calming to smooth and slight. Fog patches possible in the North Adriatic overnight and in the morning, particularly along the Italian coast. Locally in the open sea variably cloudy with a little chance of rain or showers.
