FROM THE EVENING GUSTS OF SE, IN THE FAR NORTH OF THE ADRIATIC TOMORROW BEFORE THE MORNING OF NE WINDS, 35-55 KNOTS. SEA LOCALLY IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC IN THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT UP TO 5. A CHANCE OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY TOMORROW.
Synopsis
A ridge of high pressure is briefly intensifying from the west, while the low, generated in the Gulf of Genoa, is expected to approach late in the day.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NW winds 4-14, elsewhere 14-24, but easing around midday to 6-16 knots. In the afternoon SE winds strengthening to 10-20 knots. Sea 2-3, locally in the South Adriatic up to 4 at first. Mostly clear, but gradual cloud increase is expected in the afternoon, bringing possibly a bit of rain mainly in the North Adriatic.
Weather forecast for the next 12 hours
Moderate to fresh SE winds strengthening to strong and near gale force, turning in the far north of the Adriatic before the morning to NE. Sea slight and moderate, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the second part of the night up to rough. Mainly cloudy with rain, during the night with a risk of isolated rain showers with thunder.
