Synopsis
A low is expected to generate over the Ligurian Sea and then to move over the Adriatic.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
SE winds 4-12, strengthening to 14-30 knots. In the south of the Adriatic at first NW winds 6-16, in the open sea up to 20 knots. Sea 2-3, in the far south of the Adriatic at first 3-4, increasing through the night to 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in places at first possibly less than 1 km due to fog. Cloud increase bringing rain in the North, around the middle of the night in the Central Adriatic as well.

Overcast with rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, precipitation possibly even more abundant. Moderate to near gale force, in the far south of the Adriatic up to gale force SE winds, turning in the North, around midday in a part of the Central Adriatic, to moderate and near gale force, in the Velebit Channel up to gale force NE winds. Sea slight and moderate, locally in the open up to rough.
