LOCAL GUSTS OF S and SE WINDS REACHING 35-40 KNOTS EXPECTED IN THE FAR SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC OVERNIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, PARTICULARLY IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC. FOG PATCHES POSSIBLE IN THE OPEN SEA OF THE NORTH ADRIATIC OVERNIGHT.

A shallow field of low pressure over the South Adriatic is slowly filling up, while a new low is expected to generate over the Ligurian Sea and to shift rapidly toward the Tyrrhenian Sea.

In the afternoon variable winds 4-14, only in the South Adriatic SE winds up to 20, in the evening SE, along the coast E winds as well, strengthening in the Central and South Adriatic to 10-20, in the far south of the Adriatic up to 26 knots. Sea 1-2, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic 2-3, toward the Strait of Otranto up to 4. Visibility 10-20, in the open sea of the North Adriatic in the evening possibly less than 1 km due to fog. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. In the North Adriatic partly clear at first, but increasing clouds will accompany scattered rain toward the end of the day.

Light to moderate SE and E winds, in the Central and South Adriatic fresh and strong in places, while in the North Adriatic turning during the night to NW, along the coast to light NE winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the far south of the Adriatic up to moderate. A chance of fog patches in the open sea of the North Adriatic. Variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder.
