Synopsis
The low and the frontal system are slowly shifting across the Adriatic further on to the east whereas a ridge of high is intensifying from the north.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NE, towards the open sea NW winds increasing to 16-26, locally up to 30 and in the Velebit Channel reaching up to 38 knots whereas still initially in the South Adriatic SW wind 16-26 knots. The sea intensifying to 3-4, towards the open sea to 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain or rain showers with thunder whereas in the second part of the day gradual clearing up is expected.
