Synopsis
A ridge of high pressure is still intensifying from the north towards the Adriatic, while the low over the Ionian Sea is filling up and it will be moving slowly eastwards.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NE winds 18-34, in places up to 38, in the Velebit Channel up to 48, easing around midday and in the afternoon in the North Adriatic to 14-28, in the Velebit Channel to 38 knots. Sea 4-5, calming in the North Adriatic in the afternoon to 3-4. Visibility 20 km. In places variably cloudy with a chance of a bit of rain or snow, while gradual clearing is expected along the coast, firstly in the Central Adriatic.

Strong to near gale, in places up to gale force NE winds will ease a little towards morning. Sea slight and moderate, in the open of the Central and South Adriatic up to rough. Mostly clear, while in the open sea still variably cloudy with scattered rain or snow.
