Local gusts of NE wind 35-40 knots in the far south of the Adriatic and still initially in the Velebit Channel whereas of NW wind of about 35 knots in the open of the South and Central Adriatic. Fog in places and the visibility reduced to less than 200 m, particularly in the North Adriatic.

Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NW, locally along the coast NE winds 4-14, up to 20 knots locally in the Velebit Channel and in the far south of the Adriatic whereas only in some places towards the open sea of the South and Central Adriatic NW up to 22 knots. Winds will be slowly decreasing towards late in the day, except in the far south. The sea 2-3, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic 3-4 but will be gradually calming. Visibility 5-15 km, locally reduced to less than 200 m, particularly in the North Adriatic. Mostly clear.
