ELSEWHERE GUSTS OF SE and S WINDS 35-45 KNOTS, TURNING IN THE EVENING TO SW and W, BEFORE THE MORNING TO NW WINDS. SEA LOCALLY UP TO 5. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

A low with frontal disturbance is shifting across the Adriatic further southeastwards.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds strengthening to 16-32, in the Velebit Channel up to 40, turning towards the end of the day to N and NW and spreading to the rest of the Central Adriatic. Elsewhere SE and S winds 16-26 knots, turning in the evening to SW and W. Sea 3-4, locally up to 5. Visibility 10-20 km. Overcast with rain, showers and thunder, in the Velebit Channel with a risk of wind drifted snow during the day.
Weather forecast for the next 12 hours
In the North and Central Adriatic fresh to near gale force, in the Velebit Channel up to gale force N and NW winds, gradually easing to moderate to strong. Elsewhere moderate to strong SW and W winds turning to NW. Sea slight and moderate, locally up to rough, mainly towards the open. Mainly cloudy with rain, showers and thunder, while partial clearing will follow in the North Adriatic from the middle of the night and elsewhere later on.
