The center of the Mediterranean low is stationary across the South Italy whereas a ridge of high is intensifying from the northeast towards the Adriatic.
Weather forecast for the Adriatic for the first 12 hours
NE wind 15-30, in the Velebit Channel up to 40 knots. In the South Adriatic SE and E winds 14-26 knots but gradually turning to NE and E winds. The sea 3-4 but 5 locally in the open. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably and mostly cloudy with scattered rain and isolated rain showers with thunder, particularly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic.

Moderate to strong NE and E winds but in the Velebit Channel NE wind of near gale force whereas still initially SE wind in the far south of the Adriatic. The sea slight and moderate but rough locally in the open of the North Adriatic. Variably and mostly cloudy with scattered rain and isolated rain showers with thunder, particularly in the South Adriatic.
